It all began in the 1950s , when Angelo Longo , a tireless and passionate man, roamed the squares of Puglia with his mobile stall. He didn't sell ready-made clothes, but fabrics : carefully selected fabrics, destined to become custom-made suits sewn by the expert hands of local tailors. Every market was an opportunity to meet people, listen to their needs, and recommend the right fabric for every occasion.

After over a decade of experience at weekly markets, in the 1960s Angelo decided to open his first physical store in Gioia del Colle . Initially, the shop continued to sell fabrics, keeping the tailoring tradition alive. It was a place where people came to choose the fabric, imagine the suit, and trust their trusted tailor.

As time passes, the world of clothing changes, and Longo Abbigliamento evolves with it. Ready- to-wear is born: ready-to-wear garments, selected from the best on the market, but always with a keen eye for quality and style. The store transforms, but it doesn't lose its soul: one of listening, expertise, and respect for the customer.

In 1994 , his son Pierangelo took over the reins of the business. Having grown up among rolls of fabric and shop windows, he continues the tradition with passion and vision. He expanded the offering, introduced new collections, and updated the store's image, while maintaining the values ​​passed down from his father: professionalism, dedication, and customer care .

In 2013 , Longo Abbigliamento continued to grow: a new location was opened adjacent to the historic headquarters, increasing the display space and offering a more complete and welcoming shopping experience.
